Party till the Cow Comes Home

November 2nd, 2008

Halloween involved dressing Vibble up in her cow costume, which I admit was wholly for my benefit. We took her to the carnival at the Santa Monica Airport, where we walked around for half an hour so she could see all the kids having fun (she likes to watch kids). Then we went to Swingers. She was so adorably cute she got a lot of attention everywhere we went. Stevel wants this to be her Thanksgiving costume and Christmas/Chanukkah costume too, ’cause why not. But I think she may outgrow it. I just want her to outgrow her sleeping issues. Going on one month now, and if she continues to refuse to be put down in her bed without screaming WHILE ASLEEP, and if she doesn’t stop using the time in our bed all night to pull my hair and punch me WHILE ASLEEP, so that when we all wake up, Stevel and I look like zombies, while she is perfectly chipper, then _I_ am going to start sleeping in HER bed, got that, Vibble?

    Holy cow, how adorable!
I’m right there with you on the sleep thing… come on girls, what is up with that?!

The first couple of Halloween costumes are definitely for our benefit, not theirs. I think Stefan was finally into it this year. He was very excited to be a Zebra, which is good because that is the costume I had that fit him. ;)

I wanted to tell you that today Niels was talking about wanting to go to “that boardwalk where we visited the people and I played Wii.” He wants to go on the boardwalk rides, go in the water oh, and, play Wii. :)

That guy behind Vibble (in the diner) has some seriously tall hair.

She is just too cute for words. That chubby cheeked smile is priceless. In my objective opinion she is one of the 3 cutest grandaughters in the universe. i may be just a bit biased, but what the heck.

I am sorry that she is such a strong willed child, and has sleeping issues. I have absolutly no idea where she may have inherited that trait from, Krissy.

Violet is becoming so interactive. Pauline and I are definetly coming in January or February. Spoiling Grands on the way Vi!

The cow suit weakens me from the cuteness. She just might be a contender for cuteoverload.com !!???

ADORABLE! is the only word that comes to mind. She is WAY beyond cute!

There are mixed opinions about letting a child get used to sleeping in their parent’s bed. I always figured it wasn’t a good idea. Some that I know that allowed it ended up with teenagers creeping into their bed during the night and even shoving the parents out so that everyone in the family had to play musical beds all night long! It’s kind of a lesson in independence to learn to sleep in their own bed.

Maybe you could move her crib into your room for awhile?

    Love to all XXXXOOOO

All the grandparents are in agreement, then. Violet is among the cutest of the cute. It is a good thing that Debi has Sam so that he can remain the cutest grandson. The costume–just way cute as well. Halloween always was my favorite holiday–especially for the Three Musketeers that I rescued from the kids’ booty.

There was a book in the early 70′s called the Family Bed. I remember it as very interesting. I wonder if it is still available.
