Poppy Goes the Weasel
April 6th, 2009Ingrid is here visiting, and we’ve been enjoying her company a lot. Yesterday we joined Jeremy and Melissa on their adventure to the Antelope Valley California Poppy Reserve. Despite rumors of the poppy fields being in full bloom, alas, they were not. And it was hella windy, so we didn’t stay too long at the park. But we had a scenic drive there and back, and Violet enjoyed what poppies there were.
Last night Stevel and Ingrid played serious Rock Band. Following is a short (one-minute) video of Violet holding the microphone and demonstrating her compulsion to DANCE:

Despite the fact that I usually see her a couple times a week, I still get all giddy and excited for each and every video of her.

OH! That little one-second smile at the end was just ELECTRIC! I can’t WAIT until Friday!
I have a video of you dancing just like that, watching TV and rocking out (I think it was to the Jackson Five on American Bandstand.) Great memories!

The girl has rythym! And her moves are priceless. Give her the mike more often, she will soon begin to sing for her dad and his band.
She sure finds joy in everything around her. It reminds me of Krissy and Cheri growing up. And Erica and Dani. I really think it is a girl thing. And I love my girls.
